What to my wondering eyes should appear!!
hundreds of eggs
for a Ridgewood tradition held dear

HARDING PHARMACY
then

HARDING PHARMACY
now

The windows tell the story. The picture is from late 1800's when Ridgewood Avenue was still dirt. Carriages were the mode of transportation.

Harding's was a General Store in the front. Upstairs they repaired wagons and carriages.
They were hoisted up to the second floor. Across the street at VanEmburgh's was the smith.

Myron told me the story.
The picture that inspired the widows was given to him by a customer who found it in her attic.

Last Saturday 9 inches of snow encased this field.

It's not a miracle
