Somehow it's harder on the 2nd day. It's dark when I wake up, and dark when I get outside. It is still iced over in many spots. I can see the ice reflect in the breaking light- black, shiny, smooth- ready for a surprise skate as I start out. It's easier to see on the way home, but still as slick.
