Eleven degrees F

Eleven- the number for today? 2/11 and it is 11 degrees outside. It is frigid.
I am dressed in Artic garb except for my hands which I try to keep free to push the shutter and to grab a tissue from my pocket. Neither is easy. By the time I take this picture all my fingers are frozen, in spite of my leather gloves. In the first 5 minutes I stop several times. The last time is to wrap my big scarf around my head and face to avert the bitter cold.
But my morning is made- I see Mike, running. Niether sleet nor snow nor the coldest morning of the year can deter this mighty runner. Good Morning Mike! I've been looking for you!
Anyone as appreciative as me to have this staircase back? It came out beautiful.

So lovely, so inviting....

If only it was open! It was serving last Wed morning. Are the hours changed?

Very Very nice! Warm weather wear through fosted window.

I do not remember the last time Ridgewood shop windows were frost bitten.
40? Another good number. fourty day?

Changed from liquid to solid overnight.

Available

Thank you! Thank you!

Mary Beth- we miss Aramanth and you! There is no better artist with flowers. So sorry the road was so tough. Please let us know where you are.

Braod street has a few empty shops. this one has been vacant for a while.

Will this be in effect today? Snowflurries have started.

Saturday walk does not start until 8. The temperature has gone down each day, and this morning is in the mid 30s. It's still a pleasant walk. It's nice to start out in daylight.

Happy Birthday Nancy!

Already I am having trouble waking. 13 minutes after 6 departure- It make a big difference in light. The sidewalk is clearly visible in the twighlight.

When I step outside the air is delicious. It smells fresh. It's not a spring smell, but very similar. 40 this morning, and not as dark. Hard time waking up, so it's quick stepping this morning.

Ash Wednesday and Day after Super Tuesday.
Who?
My favorite- The Ridgewood Cafe, my old kind friend.
Hello Mike! There's always a wonderful morning greeting from you, and a great cup of coffee too. Today-a neighbor- (recalling our last conversation here- did you ever read
No Ordinary Time? that was year...)
Ridgewood Coffee is bright and inviting. The sweet coffee mix that is a rage with the kids is very nice.

And so it begins again, just before dawn on a winter morn.
The Ridgewood Walker walks.
It is dark; it is February; it is 45 degrees at 6AM.
I had been anticipating cold. The fog is so dense, it surrounds me like a hug.
In a way it is comforting. The lights have an orange glow- like celestial orbs
